Lindsay and Clint were married on July 25th with a ceremony in Jackson, NH, and a reception at the Shovel Handle Pub at Whitney’s Inn.
Clint and Lindsay met outside Davis Square in 2008 when his friends lived downstairs and Lindsay lived upstairs. Lindsay admitted to him that she had a crush on him, and when he responded with a kiss, the rest is history! They currently are living in Colorado while Clint finishes up his PhD in microbiology and Lindsay works as an emergency room nurse.
I started out the day with the girls, while my second shooter, Michele Stapleton, was with the guys. Then, we all headed to the ceremony, which was very heartfelt and emotional. They had a handfasting ceremony, with the symbolic lashing together of the couple’s hands that brought about the phrase “tying the knot.” During the ceremony, I even spotted their moms holding hands—it was amazing to see how much love they had for the new couple!
I think Clint was a bit nervous, because he had trouble repeating the vows, but the audience laughed, and everyone seemed so relaxed around each other, joking around during the formal pictures afterward and laughing together! It’s always nice to have a group that’s willing to laugh, because those photos are always amazing.
After the formals, which we took at a spot that Lindsay had found on her morning run and also on a covered bridge (where we tried not to get hit by cars!), we got to hear some heartfelt and funny speeches before the reception at the Shovel Handle Pub. Despite the heat, the dance floor was packed the whole time!
Thank you, Lindsay & Clint, for allowing me to capture your day. It was a beautiful wedding, and you were all so much fun! Congratulations to you both!
